Losing the Gym Doesn't Mean Losing Fitness - March Blog, By Chris Alexis
Positively Premier: Losing the Gym Doesn’t Mean Losing Fitness
The lights are off and the doors locked for all fitness clubs across the state and more. For some, this can be a reason to take a break from working out.
But that’s a dangerous road.
Despite the lack of our ability to serve you in person with exercise equipment, classes, healthy food from our bistro, and more, we still want emphasize the need for you to keep working on your fitness goals throughout this temporary reality.
Remember, exercising keeps your body in good working order. This includes lowering your chance of heart disease, keeping your body functions (like digestion) on track, and even improving circulation.
Is the current quarantine upping your stress levels? Working out on a regular basis will dial that back down. Exercise releases endorphins, which trigger feelings of relaxation and happiness. In fact, working out is described as one of the best anti-depressants someone can take. And you don’t even need a prescription!
Another thing that helps stress is getting enough sleep. Keeping exercise current will help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. The more rested you are, the more you’ll be able to handle all that life is throwing at you right now!
If you decide to put exercise to the side and live a sedentary lifestyle, you risk reversing all these positive trends: increased anxiety, chance for heart disease, and issues with various bodily functions.
“Wait a minute,” we can hear you say. “How am I supposed to work out with all the gyms being closed?”
That’s why we are providing a top-of-the-line, best-in-class virtual workout platform for FREE to our members. You will have access to 95 different workout types across eight categories while our facility is closed. Just
!
Eventually, the club will re-open. The lights will be on. Our equipment will be yours to use. Our
trainers
will be at your side to assist you, and our
bistro
will serve you delicious and healthy meals.
Stay tuned for more information. As soon as we know something, YOU will know it too!
