Re-Build Your Body! - July Blog, By Chris Alexis
Positively Premier: Re-Build Your Body!
With gyms and fitness centers back open, now is the time to re-build your body after any potential atrophy you may have experienced during the recent shutdown.
Gary Fortney, our head personal trainer, shared a new routine that will help you build re-build mass. After all, who doesn’t want to grow their muscles? Make sure of course that all weight is appropriate before you begin this routine, and be certain you’re in solid enough health to take this on.
OK, here’s we go. Go ahead and print this out or screenshot it on your phone so you can come into Premier and give it a try!
Incline dumbbell Chest Press superset with
Incline Bench dumbbell row 4 sets x 6-8 reps
Landmine shoulder press superset with
‘chin-up' lat pulldown 4 sets x 6-8 reps
Push-ups: Maximal effort minus about 5 reps. Superset this with the
row 'erg' machine: 10 calorie sprint, 3 rounds
Heavy ball slams superset with
Leg lifts (weighted, if necessary) 4 sets x 15 reps
If you’re unsure of what any of these terms mean (“What’s a landmine shoulder press?”), feel free to talk to one of our trainers on the fitness floor; they’ll be happy to show you what it is and how to do it safely!
Happy re-building!
